The student will need to pay the shuttle fees witch are 10$ taxes included for one ticket or 80$ for 10 tickets.  

This rental offer concerns the students that didn’t take the ground handling and training hill.

Objective : discover the world of free flying with a paraglider or a hang glider.

What is included in the package :

• 1 hour lesson on the ground with an instructor (paragliding or hang gliding);
• 1 tandem flight (paragliding or hang gliding).  

The content of the 1 hour ground lesson is :

• Discovery of the gear
• Terminology
• Theoretical overview (basic)
• Ground handling and wing inflation (for paragliding)
• Ground handling (for hang gliding)
• Control of the glider on the ground (paragliding or hang gliding).  

If two people register for the mixte discovery packages, each pay a single package but benefits from 2 hours of training on the ground plus the tandem flight.

For hang gliding, we recommend being 2 people for the discovery package in order to benefit from 2 hours of ground handling training being it takes a little longer to get the hang of it.

 

The discovery package fee cannot be deduced or otherwise used as credit for the ground handling training package which remains 849$ (even for students who register for the discovery package).

Objective: basic control of a paraglider or hang glider.

Ground handling and training hill package for paragliding or hang gliding
What is included :

• 10 lessons (10 hours) with  instructor (on the ground and on the training hill)
• 10 hours of gear rental for practicing solo (on the ground and on the training hill)
• 1 day theoretical cours
• 1 flight manual (essential for the written exam) and 1 log book.  

If 2 students share an instructor but wish to use 2 gears, plan for an additionnal fee of 30$ for the extra gear. The price of the lesson is divided between the 2 students.

Applicable conditions for this package :

• Valid for a period of 12 months max (according to student availability and weather conditions)
• 2 payments maximum
• This package is non-refundable
• The student is responsible for his gear and for all damages to the gear
• The student should never leave the gear in the sun or without supervision
• Gear rental is based on gear or training hill availability  

Note: It is possible that certain students may finish the ground handling and training hill part without using all of their lessons in this package.

Generally because ;

• The student progresses rapidly using his included free gear rental and practices often, therefore the student more rapidly masters the manouvers being taught
• 2 students take their lessons together, needing less individual time and reducing costs for the ground and training hill part.
  
  However, both students need to progress at the same pace and have both registered for the package.

Exemple: If 2 students take 2 hours of lessons together, each get 2 hours of training and both use up only 1 hour of their package.  

If lessons are left unused in the first package, they will be credited in the second part of the training for winch launched or mountain launched lessons.

Maximum of 2 students per instructor per hour.

For the second part of the training, we can recommend different blocs of lessons for the students according to their progress.  

What is included within each « bloc ».

 
«Bloc en vol 1» at 840$ plus tax :

• 10 lessons (high flights) at the winch launch (cable tow system) and/or the mountain launch
• 1 and a half lessons as a free bonus, which corresponds to a 15% rebate
• Total of 11.5 lessons.  

«Bloc en vol 2» at 1000$ plus tax :

• 12 lessons (high flights) at the winch launch (cable tow system) and/or the mountain launch
• 2 lessons as a free bonus, which corresponds to a 17.5% rebate. 
• Total of 14 lessons 

«Bloc en vol 3» at 1260$ plus tax :

• 15 lessons (high flights) at the winch launch (cable tow system) and/or the mountain launch
• 3 lessons as a free bonus, which corresponds to a 20% rebate
• Total of 18 lessons.  

Applicables conditions for the « blocs » :

• Valid for a period of 12 months max
• 2 payments maximum
• Blocs are non-refundable
• The student is responsible for his gear and for all damages to the gear
• The student should never leave the gear in the sun or without supervision
• If lessons are left unused, credits can be applied to training only (any type of lessons).  

Why do we offer different « blocs » at different prices?

Each student progresses at a different pace and some prefer more lessons than less to feel comfortable in flight. Also, certain blocs are better suited for hang glider students who generally need more lessons for their complete training compared with paraglider students. The choice of blocs will also depend on the number of lessons taken during the ground handling and training hill part. We can evaluate with you which of these 3 blocs is better suited for your needs.  

Here’s how to evaluate the costs of high flight lessons
Flights from the winch launch and the mountain launch have variable rates which depend on the guidance required (degree and length) :

• Flight without radio or with radio but shortened (with little guidance) = 1/3  lesson = 28$ plus tax
• Flight with radio of average length (more radio autonomy) =  2/3 lesson = 56$ plus tax
• Flight with radio assistance long length (more radio guidance) = 1 lesson = 84$ plus tax.  

When you register for lessons in paramotor you must have the required paraglider training, then you can follow the 5 hour training on the paramotor.

Paramotor training is divised in three parts :

• 10 lessons (10 hours) practice with an instructor on the ground and on the training hill
• 10 winch launched flights (cable launch system) on a paraglider
• 5 hours of guided paramotor flights.  

For the 10 ground and training hill lessons, we recommend the ground and training hill package (see the paraglider training packages).

For the winch launched flights their are no specific blocs of lessons. You should plan it by the lesson (prices varie with required guidence and length) :

• Flight without radio or with radio but shortened (with little guidance) = 1/3  lesson = 28$ plus tax
• Flight with radio of average length (more radio autonomy) =  2/3 lesson = 56$ plus tax

For the paramotor section of the training you can get a 50% rebate on your lessons if you purchase your gear at Distance Vol Libre :

• Regular rate per hour with motor = 84$
• Reduced price with purchase of a paramotor = 42$
  (equal to 50% rebate).  

You absolutely need your own paramotor for the paramotor lessons, we don’t rent paramotors.

Generally, your complete training will cost between 2000$ and 2200$ plus tax depending on student capacity and progress.  

The cost of paramotor training may be less if your in one of these situations :

• You progressed rapidly on the ground and training hill section using your free practice time and our gear
• You did your training with another student for the ground and training hill section which reduced costs for that part of your training.  

Purchase a complete new gear and get a 25% rebate on the ground and training hill package or on one of the blocs for the second part of the training, or on both if purchased together.
